Head Full Of Mountains

My head is always full of mountains. They’re the place I run to when work and home fade out – where I clear my thoughts and immediately fill them with dreams of the next climb.

In the first week of our trip, not even a thousand kilometers from home, we woke at six for the sunrise and chose a three-hour hike through the rock towers of northern Czechia. Stepping onto that trail and walking between these enormous towers made us feel tiny.

We passed through Czechia three more times on our van trip, and each time we found something new – something simple and magical that surprised us. And every time, it reminded me why I return to the mountains: they always give back more than I expect.
